I decided to help get to know our neighbors a little better, I would bake some treats and Kevin and I could take them around as Christmas gifts. Today I speant a few hours baking up a storm and made cute little plates full of treats for them to enjoy. I made chocolate chips cookies, rollo cookies, banana bread, and fudge! I must say I felt quite domestic. The baking part wasn't too bad, although at one point when there was flour all over my apron and chocolate all over my hands I felt a bit like Monica from Friends, where she makes all the candy for her neighbors. Kevin and I took the plates around and it was fun to see people's reactions. The people we didn't know that well (other than just a wave) were quite suprised! It was really fun, I wish we could have made enough for everyone in the complex, since it is fairly small only 7 buildings, but 7x6 per building, I wasn't that adventerous. We started with our building and the one across from us and we also took some to the people in the ward who live here. It was a fun experience and really nice to get to know people!

Awesome job! That's a lot to take on... I always think of doing stuff like that, it rarely gets done. I got your card in the mail today--thanks! You are really on top of it all, and put the rest of us to shame. I was thinking... you need to just come up and hang out with me one day, I'm always at home.
Aww, where are the pics? Mmmm, that banana bread is sure to make some friends. Yeah, I knew I would receive your Christmas cards first.
Wow, I'm impressed! Sounds yummy!
You are so cute! I wish I was your neighbor. It is funny cuz I totally thought of that friends episode as I read your blog too! Great minds think alike.
Sounds like quite an undertaking...something I'm going to have to do over the next couple days.
I wish I was your neighbor too! Wow. I need to do things like this and often intend to, but never do. You are a good example to me - both for your friendly baking and getting your cards out so early. :)
