Holiday...Celebrate!

Last night Kevin and I had the pleasure of attending the 2nd Annual IKEA Holiday Party!! Last year the party's theme was 80's prom and it was so fun. Kevin and I went all out, Kevin had a miami vice style outfit, with a white suit, neon blue shirt, woven sandals and a sweet mustache. I wore an amazing hot pink polka dot dress complete with crimped side pony tail. This year the theme was Casino Royal, so Kevin wore a sweet tux with tails and I wore a black dress. The evening started off with a great dinner, prime rib and chicken and raspberry cheescake for dessert. The party was held downtown at the Depot in the Gateway mall and it was definitly Casino style. They had blackjack, roulette, poker and our favorite-Bingo!! We didn't do so well on the tables, but Kevin cleaned up his first round of Bingo! It was all "play" gambling which means there was no money involved. At work we had given out "Casino Cash" to co-workers who had done a good job and they could reedem it for chips. Everyone recieved $150 to play with which later could be redeemed for raffle tickets. The raffle tickets were put in a drawing for prizes. Last year they went all out and the prizes included gift cards, IPODS,digital cameras, and a plasma TV. This year with the economy we were very lucky to even have a holiday party and they gave out a bunch of gift cards anywhere from $10-$500. Last year Kevin and I had no luck and didn't win anything, this year we won an awesome $100 gift card to....Nordstrom's!! I was so thankful and exited, I mean what woman do you know that wouldn't love $100 to Nordstrom's! Kevin would have rather won the $500 Best Buy card, but he was excited that we won! IKEA is such a great company that really values their employees and the holiday party was a good example of that! Overall, it was a really fun free night out for the two of us!

Fun! I wish my work party was like that. Instead it will be more like the Christmas party on the Office (including the crazy Yankee Swap).

Kevin looked so awesome in his tux! Thanks for the gift as soon as you left, I made me a nice cup of cocoa (is that how you spell cocoa? it doesn't look right)

Fun! UPS gets a turkey for Christmas instead of a party which we save all the way until next Thanksgiving, haha.

lol @ Tracy's comment.

AJ's work is only doing a employee only party this year--potluck at the office which I "get" to make rolls for. Oh yay. :) IKEA's party sounds super fabuloso, I'm muy jealous.
