Birthdays and bicycle rides

Unfortunately, this past Friday was my birthday. The day started out with Kevin waking up and making me pancakes, yum! I then went to work and worked a busy day, but my boss and a few co-workers bought Brooke and I Cafe Rio for lunch. (Brooke and I have the same b-day) After work Kevin told me we had reservations for sushi at 7pm at GINZA downtown. I was super excited because the x-roll and the manzania (no idea how to spell it) are 2 of my favorite rolls! Before we went I opened my presents and I was way spoiled this year! I got a new bicycle, a helmet, and a nice new digital camera (which is really nice since my old one won't hold a charge). We arrived at 7 and to my surprise Kevin had invited Doug, Jenica, Matt and Marti! It was a lot of fun to hang out with them and Marti was a way good sport, she doesn't like sushi. Jenica brought this awesome cake and it was so yummy! After dinner they had homework, so Kevin and I went home and he gave me a massage and we watched Psych, his parents gave it to me for my b-day. It is a great show! Overall, for turning another year closer to 30, it was a great day! Here are some pictures from the day....

The weather is so beautiful today and ever since I got my new bicycle I have taken every nice day chance and rode it! Today I decided to take Nixon on a bike ride over to Murray park. Murray Park is not 2 far, probably about 2 miles from our house, I didn't know how I was going to do a leash and a bicycle, so I got innovative. Last year at Warped Tour I bought this cute big pink bag that is perfect for bike riding and also perfect for holding small dogs! I put Nixon in the bag and wasn't sure how he would like it, turns out he loved it! He just stuck his head out into the wind and loved the ride. When we got to the park I let him run around and he had a ton of fun. It was such a great way to spend a warm spring day and I think we will have many more trips to the park in the coming weeks.
