Isn't it funny, how the smallest things can put you in the best mood? This morning I went for my 20 week ultrasound. (I am officially half way through as of tomorrow!) My main focus was to make sure the baby is healthy, and of course I was excited to see the what the ultra sound tech thought about the gender. I had to go to a different place because the place I went with Milo was no longer accepting our insurance. I was a little nervous, but I am so glad we went to a new place! They spent lots of time with us and we even got some 3D shots which are awesome.
I think ultrasounds are so amazing, they can tell you so much information. It is still looking like she is a girl, so now I guess I will keep my eye out for deals on girl clothes. From what we can see she looks healthy, YAY! All of her organs are there and seem to be working well. There are no guarantees, but it is looking really good.
Kevin was able to come with me and my nice friend Megan watched Milo for me so we didn't have to wrestle him. I think the ultrasound helped make it more real and helped us to bond with her a bit more. I feel bad for the second child, this pregnancy has went a lot faster and I haven't thought about it as much. That is due to the fact my world is consumed with my best bud Milo. When I saw the 3D image of her I couldn't help but cry a little, she is so amazing!
They gave us photos on a CD, which make it so awesome to just throw them up here on the blog!
Here it is, she is a girl!
I love this one, it totally looks like she is smiling!!
Here are the 3D photos, they are so awesome. Isn't she just the sweetest thing ever!?!
I seriously cannot believe I am half way through, it is crazy how time flies. I am still feeling nauseous, but it is a bit less intense. At least I have energy to do things. She is a wiggly girl, I have been able to feel movement since about 14 weeks and I love it. I try to slow down at least once a day and enjoy her movement.
We are super excited/nervous to meet her when the time comes. It will be so fun to see how Milo does with her, I think he is going to be a great big brother! He is so sweet with babies, I am sure it will be different when he is sharing his Mom, but I know he will love her!
